German goalkeeper Hildebrand heads to Hoffenheim

12/11/2008 - Hoffenheim, Germany (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Hoffenheim has signed goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand on a free transfer following his release by Valencia last week.

The 29-year-old shot-stopper will join up with the current Bundesliga leaders when the transfer window reopens in January.

Hildebrand is looking to kick-start a career which stalled during 18 frustrating months on the sidelines at Valencia.

The ex-Stuttgart goalkeeper wasn't wanted at the Spanish club following the arrival of Unai Emery as coach during the summer.

The seven-times capped Germany international made a name for himself during Stuttgart's 2003-04 Champions League campaign before joining Valencia in 2007.
